Flx 10 controller not working for Mac Rekordbox

Hello all, Thank you in advance for any help. 

So I can get rekordbox to play on my Mac laptop, but as soon as I plug my flx10 into the laptop, the wave forms flash a couple of times, mutes/dims in color and my controller won't play. And I can't use my laptop any more to control the songs.  On the left jog wheel in the middle is says "LINE INPUT" (which I don't remember seeing before) and in the middling the right jog wheel it says "Pioneer DJ." I did update it with latest update right before trying this. 

I was mixing a lot over the past few month with this configuration. I have been traveling for a few weeks and came back tonight to mix and this is what I found. Any help would be much appreciated. It's been a bit maddening. And if anyone wanted to jump on a call to help me trouble shoot and I am successful, I'd be happy to flip you a few bucks on venmo for your time. Thank you.
