XDJ 1000 Master Tempo Cutting off audio

Just bought an xdj1000 and with master tempo turned on the audio of the songs will stop, and/or cut in and out after a few minutes of playing. When it does this and i scratch the jog wheel there is sound from the scratching but none from the actual song audio.

When I turn master tempo off the issue is gone....

Anyone have an ideas? is there a way to re-install or reset to factory settings?
