How to fix shoddy USB jack on DDJ-SB?

The USB connector on the back of my DDJ-SB seems to have a short in it. It USED to get enough power from the USB jack to drive the headphones loudness properly but as you know, if you connect to an unpowered hub, it doesn't have enough juice to run the amps so you can hardly hear it.

Well, one day it started acting like that on the same USB port and on any other USB port on other computers and if you jiggled the cable at the DDJ-SB side, the vol would kick up and down - short!

So is this a known problem after time with this USB port on the DDJ SB? I'll crack it open and take a look but wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
