rekordbox 6.8.0 crashes when analysing music folder

so recently updated to latest Rekordbox 6.8.0.

when i analyze a folder it starts ok, then slows down and eventualy rekordbox crashes. running a macbook pro m1 16gb ram and osx ventura 13.6.

This should surely not be happening with the specs i have, it was also crashing on the previous version.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, the files are all mp3, or wav and are not corrupt, analyzing the same folder in traktor is lightning fast and no issues.
