1000 playlist / folder max on USB

Hello,

I have seen multiple threads on the fact that we are requesting to expand the number folders / playlists that can be exported to a USB.

Recently I have swapped my NXS2 and XDJ-XZ set-up to acquire an Opus Quad all-in-one.

For me this is the most brilliant product that Pioneer DJ has ever produced!

I play allround and have a very large directory of music.

Until now it was impossible to do my job with for instance a 1 or 2TB USB stick / SSD drive connected to a NXS2 player or XDJ-XZ.

The device was simply not able to handle such large directories and this was noticeable when you use the keyboard search function frequently.

The devices would completely slow down and you would be waiting forever to get the search results wanted.

No it had nothing to do with my USB sticks / SDD drives, als I followed every step needed to ensure the best experience on these devices.

This was simply a combination of processing power, buffer sizes, USB 2 connections.

Try doing this and then try to eject your stick / drive.

This would take about 1-2 minutes before the red blinking LED would finally tell you to remove it.

For this reason I could not leave my MacBook Pro at home and worked with Perfomance mode which did the job.

What never left my mind, was the frustration that spending thousands of Euro's, I still needed a laptop to do the job.

Now this is all gone due to the Opus Quad and the new library plus file handling system.

For everyone out there, the machine is incredible and does what is needed and it does it very fast.

Oh and I like the new look of the system, but you're entiled to have you own opinion.

My DJM-900NXS2 and XDJ-XZ had the paint coming of the markers around the faders.

This was not due to aggressive handling, but due to the fact that the acid, which my sweaty hands contain, will over time remove parts of the paint.

When you then sell your equipment as second hand, people will think it was not handled with care and this makes selling it more difficult.

On the Opus finally the horizontal lines around the faders are removed, yeah!

But now comes the issue...

As I use a lot of folders / playlists in Rekordbox Performance I would like get them on my USB device.

Unfortunately there is a limitation of 1000 folders and playlist.

PLEASE Pioneer upgrade this to at least 2000.

No the work around for me can't be to use the MY TAG to number down the number of folders / playlists.

Then in a few months I will have this issue again, as my collection grows.

I can understand that this request would not be backwards compatible with the older XDJ-XZ and NXS2 series due to hardware / software limitations, but the Opus Quad would be handling this with ease, is my assumption.

And the same would probably go for the CDJ-3000's.

Can anyone from Pioneer please provide a solution, as this been request SO MANY TIMES???

Looking forward to an urgent response, which is much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,

John
