Opus Quad - Slip Mode, alternative options?

I'm interested in buying the Opus Quad, but I use Slip Mode quite a bit in my sets.... so the fact that the SLIP button has been removed puts me off this unit. I'd like to understand why Slip Mode has been omitted as it will be missed by DJs as it's a great creative tool when used with scratching, vinyl-style rewinding and start-stopping a track.

I've read in places that there are potential other features that could offset this missing feature on the Opus Quad - by using the SLIP ROLL and VINYL BREAK effects included in the BEAT FX - is that right?

Can you please explain what the reason is for not having Slip Mode and if there are now other effects to replace it that are better on the Opus Quad?
