Hardware: Modular screens

I like the modular direction with supplementary devices like the XP1 and the DMX1. More of this please!

I would really appreciate the option to add optional XDJ/RZX-esque screens to my DDJ-1000 & DVS setups for certain situations and leave them at home for others. (I often play as part of a DJ Duo so the more immediate, glanceable information available without going through endless modal panes the better)

When you add 4 decks,video, lighting, fx, sampler, browsing and everything to one 11"/13"/15" screen there just isn't enough space to go around. I like the idea of moving the browse window out to a different screen but a traditional second monitor is rarely practical for a traveling DJ.

However, a rugged USB touchscreen or dashboard similar to the top row of the RZX (Song list, Keyboard search, Video control, XY Pad FX) would be incredibly useful for some VDJ/DVS setups. It would allow the laptop to focus on a "bird's eye view" management of your set while the modular screen(s) could be concerned with info that requires more immediate feedback.

Better yet, power and drive the whole thing with one USB-C cable (USB-C wall charger for those without USB-C ports) and put a Passthru/USB-A/HDMI hub in the back.

(And in a few years. if you want to get really ambitious, high end and niche, eventually put a laptop's guts inside one, run a cut down Rekordbox only OS and have it completely handle 4 tracks, video and lighting)

The power resources and plus packs of the tethered DDJ range with a touch more of the immediacy and ergonomics of the XDJ range. Pretty please!
