XDJ-RX(2) blue LED ring on jog wheel

The LED section of the XDJ-RX(2) includes a blue ring which only lights up when you touch the upper platter of the wheel in Vinyl Mode. But does that make any sense? I know when I'm touching the jog wheel, because I'm, well, actually touching it. It does not have any function that way. 

Why not change it into a continuous blue ring (when in vinyl mode) to indicate that vinyl mode is activated, just like the word "Vinyl" on a CDJ display.

I don't know if there are any unused LED's, or if the LED's are RGB but an "on air" indicator on the jog wheel would also be nice.
