Pioneer DDJ-RR mapping for Traktor Pro 3

Just tested and I confirm it’s magic !!!! I think with this mapping a will get back to traktor as Pioneer deny since two years to implement midi clock or link ...

@Dann > My recommendation would be to start with one for a DDJ-SR and work from there. Several TSI files are available at the Traktor Bible website.

Hi, thanks for this tsi. I loaded it up in Tracktor pro 3 but it isn't recognising my DDJ-RR? Is there anything else I need to do?

Hi, I have seen your mapping for Traktor from Pionner DDJ RR and I wanted to know if you could finally solve the jogwheel LED issue. Testing your mapping I see that the SLICER and SLICER ROLL functions do not work either. Before having the DDJ RR, I had the DDJ RB and I have a mapping in which these two options work. If you want I can send you it, to see how it was done and see if you could include it in your mapping. I use a software called "cmdr v0.9.6" to edit them in windows and it is easy to copy and paste parts of the Mapping. On the other hand you have this file "DDJ-SR_List_of_MIDI_Messages_E". I see on the Pioneer website that it is for other models but not for the DDJ-RR. I've asked Pioneer, but I don't know if they'll send it to me. regards

@Victor Serna Garcia: 1. For the jog to light up is just a simple trick. Before opening traktor pro open for example rekordbox dj or virtual dj with ddj-rr opened and then close rekordbox dj or virtual dj, without closing ddj-rr. You will see that the jog wheels led's remain opend. Then open traktor pro and the jog will have light but they are not working like in rekordbox dj.

2. The slicer and the slicer roll I didn't mapped that, because i don't use those function's. I could try to map those functions, but I don't have time.

@Victor Serna Garcia: Sorry I don't anything like this. I started my mapping from a mapping of ddj-sr and I just edit that.

I looked in traktor pro "Add in" command's, but I don't see any slicer midi command.

Hi.I just add the mapping in Traktor.All is good.One little problem only.When I move up down the list it jumps 2 tracks.So I have to put it with touchpad from my Mac to load it.Is there a solution for that?Thanks

@Panagiotis Minoudis: Is quite simple. In my first post u can see that I've uploaded a picture with numbers of the midi comand's so pressing number "12" (u can go up on browser tree (collection area) and "13"(u can go down on browser tree (collection area) and by pressing number "17"  will select collapse/expand (open/close folder in browser tree). Hope this helps u.

@Pulse: Pulse every time i want to reply on this forum i'm struggling to login with my pioneer dj account. Logging in with facebook option it seems it works. When trying to log in in the address bar i have this address

My problem is with 37 when I go up and down the list it goes from number 1 track to number 4 track with one click.If I want to put the number 2 or 3 I have to  put it from the laptop.

@Panagiotis Minoudis: On mine is working fine. I always trun number "37" to left before going up or down and is going one by one. Also after loading track on deck i always use

5 - load previous

6 - load next.

On mine it doesn’t go one by one..Thanks a lot for helping me.God bless you.

Hello every one!!

I bought my DDJ RR about 2 years and a half ago.

Everything was going until I had an update of rekordbox and since then my software is sliding. the BPM is not stable and I m not able to mix without using the auto sync and I didn't bought such controller to have automated mix!!!!!!

I m trying to go back to Traktor, I ve downloaded the Pro 3 version but I m completely unable to have it working with my version of traktor.

I ve imported your patch for the midi configuration of the DDJ RR but it s not working at all... I m even unable to configure the audio set up. Is there a more comprehesive patch including the audio set up??

@Didier : In rekordbox dj your track analyze option is set to normal or dynamic??? If is set to dynamic check normal mode and re-analize your tracks,  see this picture

as for the tractor do u installed ddj-rr driver???

have u imported my mapping??? see picture:

u have to click import and choose my mapping file;

also do u have this setting's in traktor pro???

And the issue with Traktor was indeed related to the reinstallation of the driver.

go here in traktor

then search for play/pause and select it

then press learn and then on your controller press play/pause button. As soon u pressed play button press learn again to deactivate the function and see if work.

if is working repeat for deck "B". Also see if the "out" have the same channel code, if not select the out for the deck u want to make the led working and press again learn and press play button on controller.

Same step's for cue button.

As for loading to deck search this command and do the learning step's mention above

but the other command does not work.

How can I map :

4 - shift: 4+19 - vinyl mode

              4+A - delete hot cue 1

              4+B - delete hot cue 2

              ....?
