Xdj1000 mk1 jog wheel unresponsive

My xdj 1000 mk1 jog wheel has stopped working in either cd mode or vinyl mode the pressure stop in vinyl mode still works but any spin function has no effect but if I open the utility menu while a track is playing I get full functions back
