Here scrolling the songs with preview on is also a nightmare

SeguirRekordbox 6 browser lagging
So after updating to rb6 browsing the tree list has become so laggy, this issue was never there for me in 5.8 or before. Scrolling the songs in the folder seems to be fine. The tree list on the left is a nightmare. It is so laggy and unresponsive. During trouble shooting, I notice the preview column keeps rendering as you scroll up or down, deactivating the preview has helped a little but not that much. Macbook pro two ssd and 16gb, so def not a laptop spec issue. Any pioneer geeks out there want ab go at trouble shooting this issue?

MBPro i7 on Sierra > Lag when scrolling !
Very laggy here as well, MBPro 2018 32Gb Ram 2,6 6 core i7. Sorry, I meant VERY VERY VERY laggy!!!
Macbook Pro 2017 15 inch
2.8 GHz core i7
16 GB RAM
256 GB SSD
Mojave 10.14.2
Rekordbox 6.0.0
System has been optimized per Serato and Traktor knowledge articles.
I also have major lag when scrolling through my collection. 4204 tracks organized by year and one subfolder (aka 2020\2020 #01, 2020 #02)
I normally have a Razer Deathadder pro wired mouse and a magic keyboard connected to an Aukey usb-c CB-C71 hub in one of the 4 thunderbolt ports, apple power supply in another, usb cable to the XDJ-XZ and one free open thunderbolt port.
I've tested scrolling without the keyboard and mouse and it's still slow. I enabled Turbo Boost Switcher to prevent cpu throttling to see if it made a difference, but no luck.
Same problem, Rekordbox 6 library is so laggy when i scroll, when i search the database. when i load the software. I have a quite large DB but the previous version was really decent has for starting up the software, now its incredibly slow. Please fix this..
Have you tried adjusting the audio buffer size?
I can try adjusting the buffer size, but the issue is around when nothing is playing. Scrolling through my playlist of 4200+ songs is laggy regardless.
It doesn't matter if anything is playing - you'll be surprised to find that the browsing speed does change when the buffer size is adjusted.
I'll check and report results later.
Okay, couldn't wait. My specs are listed earlier in the thread. Verified my Mac is still optimized.
320 samples 7.2 ms
384 samples 8.7 ms
512 samples 11.6 ms
640 samples 14.5 ms
All still had serious lag when I scroll rapidly and walk away for 3 seconds I can come back and there's still movement on my collection.
I opened activity monitor to see if any processes aside from rekordbox were causing issues, but only the rekordbox process consumed the majority. When I scroll through my collection the cpu exceeds 130% and if I grab the scroll button to fast move it jumped to over 230% utilization. This is in export mode and performance mode. I don't have anything else enabled in performance mode (video, lighting, lyric, etc.).
@Pulse: In my case there is no buffer size setting. I use Rekordbox in EXPORT mode, with no (ASIO) audio device connected, apart from my (Windows) laptop speakers.

I also have a post about it in this forum: https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360061374271-Rekordbox-6-drawing-of-previews-is-very-slow
Sorry XMan714, for using your post to get to Pulse.
No worries. I just want to find a solution. This doesn't impact playback but it is a bit annoying.
@Pulse, i think the issue lies with the preview column, as it keeps rendering itself as one scrolls, using RB5 the issue is non existint and scrolling the library tree is fine, when hiding the preview column in RB6 it helps a little and one can scroll a little better. the fact that with the exact same library RB5 and settings this does not happen, hae tried problem solving using buffer size and anything else i could think of, except when hiding the Preview window then it became a little more responsive. The fact there is no issue in RB5, Traktor or Serato that i have running on the same system and it only happens with RB6. This makes me think its a bug or some sort of rendering issue with the new update of RB6.
Any ideas that i can troubleshoot am willing to try.
If you're having trouble with the browser lagging on Rekordbox 6, try disabling the 'Preview' and 'Artwork' columns in the browser view. I was able to get my library performing about as well as it did in 5.8.x by disabling those columns, at least while I'm in performance mode.
We've passed this feedback to the rekordbox engineers and hope they are able to improve the browsing responsiveness, but as @Nick says, disabling the wave preview and the artwork will assist in speeding things up.
any news to fix it ?
None at this time, sorry.
I also have problems browsing in Rekordbox 6 that were not present in 5, which seem to be associated with the preview rendering. I also have issues creating folders and playlists. Rekordbox will lockup for 5-10 seconds when creating a folder or playlist. This is very annoying.
I have the same problem with all versions of rekordbox. When the column with the preview is visible then browsing is very lagging. But when the colum with the preview is not visible everything is smooth. I use the preview a lot and it is the only complaint I have about the rekordbox. Now I am running version 6.0.4.
Laptop Specs:
i7-7700HQ, 16Gb Ram, 500Gb SSD
Windows 10
Pioneer fixed this in version 6.1.1. Scrolling is smooth again!
Just done a home set with Rekordbox 6.2 absolute terrible lagging with Nxs2 set up. MacBook Pro 16gb 2019 - I could not gig with this set up.... its absolutely shocking. Browser spinning wheel when searching, scrolling, can't use scroll feature on CDJ's or back button.
I've been using pioneer stuff for 10 years and this is BAD, unusable on a gig when we are allowed.
Please advise
As already noted in this topic, there are a number of reasons that rekordbox may not respond smoothly. Personally, I've found rekordbox 6.2 to be the fastest yet. I previously had to disable the waveform preview because it would take forever to redraw, even on my new computer.
If you can give us a bit more info as to your setup, and how you were using the CDJs (you didn't note if this was export or performance mode), and whether you were using that same computer to broadcast while DJing (that makes a BIG difference to available resources)... any additional details can help diagnose this.
Thanks.
HI Pulse
Using in HID mode, Wifi off, separate Mac for broadcast, Subscribed to highest level on R6. The whole program was very unresponsive and highlighting a song with scrolling was impossible, had to drag the tune onto the deck every time.
still no go, rekordbox lagging whole system:
impossible to scroll/browse in 6.5, impossible to work with this software like this...
any solutions please?
i run:
MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017) 2,8ghz quad core i7 16gb
