CDJ3000 BPM rounding error

Another issue I'm having which is causing artists to pull from riders is the rounding is inconsistent with previous models and the normal.

E.g

A track with a speed of 175Bpm @ + 3.00% should read 180.3 BPM but instead on the 3000's it reads 180.2

I guess this should be pretty easy to fix as it just a rounding error

Thanks

I am wondering if this relates to the issue where my tracks are constantly falling behind if I match them the lazy way using the bpm...

I agree, 180.25 BPM should be (mathematically) correct rounded to 180.3 BPM.

However, it is not a problem if the rounding is done the same way on all players used in a setup.

But even with correct rounding, you might not be able to hit the exact BPM by using the pitch fader. Not sure how it is on the CDJ3000, but on my XDJ1000mk2 the smallest step I can do with the pitch fader is 0.05%. So consider a track with 180 BPM, then this 0.05% would be almost 0.1 BPM. Said that, in worst case you may have about 0.05 BPM deviation because you cannot adjust the pitch fader exactly to the required BPM.

In this case two decimal places in the BPM display would at least helpful to be aware of this BPM deviation.

It would be interesting if the SYNC function would match the exact BPM in this case or having the same steps of 0.05% in the calculation as the sync fader.

Wait, do the 300's not have the ability to change BPM in I crements of 0.01? Rounding to the nearest tenth will definitely lead to inconsistencies while mixing.
