Pioneer DDJ SB3 with Serato Pro

Hi, I'm using the Pioneer DDJ - SB3 with Serato DJ Pro. One thing I've noticed is that the control buttons at the bottom (to go to the beginning of the Track, Fast Forward and Rewind) are not working for some reason, in spite of the Hot Cue button being pressed, so I'm limited to using the Jogg Wheels to do that at the moment. Do you know why that is the case ? Thanks.

Have you purchased the license to use Pro with the SB3?

Try this:

  • Open the Serato DJ Pro preferences
  • Click the MIDI tab
  • Click the DDJ-SB3 in the upper window
  • Un-check "Allow Serato Hardware Remapping" above that window
  • Click the "Restore Defaults" button at the bottom
  • Close the preferences and test

Hi, I have a valid license and the based on what I have read, the Control buttons at the bottom in the Serato Pro version function as additional CUE buttons, which is what it is doing. In the Lite version these are assigned as  follows 5-> go to the beginning of the Track, 6-> Fast Forward and 7->Rewind). It seems like there should be a way to remap these like in the Lite version but you need to do it in the MIDI tab of the Preferences but I'm not getting the MIDI tab in Serato Pro when I go to the Preferences Section.

I have the exact same problem. To clarify, I started on Serato Lite and in that version buttons (I guess) 5, 6, 7 and 8 rewind to start of track, forward to end, etc by default (and in fact these symbols are physically shown on the SB3 mixer). Buttons 1-4 set the four available hot cues. However in Serato Pro there are eight hot cues and buttons 5-8 are now used to set the last four of these, with seemingly no way of getting them to rewind and forward. I do have the Midi tab under preferences and have reset to default as suggested but it seems the eight cues is the default behaviour. I guess it must be possible to remap to the Lite setup but any options I try in Midi preferences in the Pro version just flashes up something about Midi XML. There doesn't seem to a file called this in the Serato Pro folder (or in the Lite one for that matter). If someone knows how to remap, or if there is a file I can copy from Lite to Pro to change the mapping I would be super grateful - I don't need 8 cues but I am really used to being able to rewind to the team start with a single button press.
