No Headphone Selection for Output Preview on DJM-S11

Like the title says, there is literally no selection for headphones in output preview.  Only selections are channels 1-4 and when one is selected, previewing tracks blasts out of the speakers.  I have a DDJ 1000 and this is not an issue. The headphone selection is there even when they aren't plugged in.  I know others with the S11 and have not had this problem.  I am running Rekordbox 6 on a 2020 Macbook Pro with two Reloop 7000's and the DJM-S11.  This definitively seems like a mixer issue. For price of this "flagship", I shouldn't have a single problem.  And this unit gave me trouble since the moment I unboxed it a few months ago.  Please help!!!

What do you mean headphone "output preview"? Are you talking about cue monitoring? That works perfectly fine in Serato and RB.

Sounds like a possible audio output snafu - can you post a screenshot of the audio configuration?

For some reason my screenshots are all above 2mb so i cant post but I will try to explain a little better. In the audio settings while the DJM s11 is plugged in, down in Output Channels theres the Output Preview. Im guessing that is the audio from me previewing songs in the library/collection list. In the Output Preview drop down menu, there are the following selections; Channels 1, 2, 3, 4, and Sampler Vol.  I want to route the audio from previewing tracks to my headphones. There isn't a selection for headphones. So with any of those selections, the preview audio plays out the speakers.  This is in perfomance mode btw.  I will note that when the DDJ1000 is connected, the mixer mode is automatically set to internal and when the DJM S11 is connected, the mixer mode is set to external.  I don't know if that has anything to do with up but I hope that all makes sense

I'm not sure what audio preview is, but if you want to hear a song before you play it, you use the headphone and mixer/controller cue function to do that. For example on my DJM-S11, I would turn the Cue/Master knob over to Cue. Then I would move the cue fader over to channel 1 or 2 depending on which one I've loaded the song up I want to hear, then I keep the crossfader on the side of the playing song, and I listen to the cued song in my headphones and the audience cannot hear it yet. When I want them to hear it I can move the crossfader so both channels are audible or I can move the crossfader all the way to the other side so only the song I was listening to myself a second ago can be hear. I can then repeat the process with the other deck. This is a fundamental part of djing.

@Will > There is no dedicated preview output on the S11, which is why you only have those 5 options available. Sorry!

DeeJae GodsOwn, I appreciate you taking the time to comment, but that is not what I am talking about. I am already a professional.  My problem is when I am clicking through the waveform of the track while it is in the library list but has not been loaded into deck one or two.  You can listen to the audio of any part of a track by just clicking any part of the song in the list.  The audio blasts out of the speakers (with DJMS11) instead of the headphones like with the DDJ1000.  I want to preview a track through the headphones BEFORE I load it into a deck.  Pulse, is there any way around this?  Seems like with an expensive flagship model, this should be a simple thing already put into place.  If there is no work around, is there a reason why this isn't even an option?

No - the S11 is a battle mixer, primarily targeted at Serato, and the preview cue was not a design criteria. Unfortunately due to the audio routing of the mixer, sending it directly to the headphones is not an option. Sorry!
