CDJ3000 jog wheel artwork images blurry.

It seems I'm not the only one having this issue.  Artwork images are at least 800x800 yet all the images in the jog wheel are super blurry.

Is there a setting in RB to force a particular size image or something?

Thank you.

I assume you are using a HFS+ formatted USB device?
If yes, there is a bug confirmed by the development team based on a ticket I raised back in January. The CDJ-3000 reads the 'wrong' AlbumArt from the USB device. There are 2 AlbumArt stored on the device for the same track. A small one (80x80 pixels) and a larger one (240x240 pixels). In the Jog display it should show the larger one which would be very clear. But if it reads the smaller one it will look blurry.
You can test it by manually renaming the 2 pictures on the device by exchanging the name. Once done the picture will be shown correctly.
If you format your USB with FAT32 this doesn't happen.
The development team confirmed in my ticket that the issue will be addressed in a future update which might come in a couple of weeks.

If you are using a FAT32 formatted drive and do have the issues, it might be a different issue.

The issue is with HFS+ formatted devices only. In Export Link mode or with FAT32 devices it works normal.

Hope that helps.

yes, I'm using HFS+.  Redoing again (all 400+ gb) is not ideal. I'll wait a few weeks and see if the update fixes it.  Thanks Frank, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

@Tim.

The export from rekordbox to the drive is ok for HFS+. It is just the CDJ-3000 which handles it wrongly. As soon as PioneerDJ will fix it in the firmware your pictures from your drive should show correctly.

The drive format was the second thing I was going to ask about; you can try using the exFAT option as well now that the CDJ-3000 supports it.

Just to confirm - with exFAT the AlbumArt is working as well. :-)

I can confirm that the latest update has fixed this issue.  Thanks a lot.

Now, if only we could rate the tracks like we could in cdj2000nxs2 and xdj1000mk2, that would be great.

I would recommend to open a ticket. So the issue is recorded / handled.

I did the same for the "track filter not updating" issue and at least *it looks* like someone is really looking into the issue (ticket still in progress).

Maybe if enough people are opening tickets someone will take care of this.

I added it to the "suggested ideas" forum but so far no response from Pioneer.  They did answer in a separate post saying "it's been on the list since launch" , bur seriously, launch was 2 years ago.

It's very disappointing that an insanely expensive flagship device can't do something that multiple lesser devices can.
