XDJ-XZ mic setup help!

I have a new XZ , im using it in standalone...have an XLR mic connected in mic1. Outputs from booth to speakers via 2x TRS from the BOOTH output to the speaker...mic 1 on the controller is turned on...booth output volume is up ...mic vol is up...EQs set midway...tried with talkover on and off..basically nothing i do will send a peep from the mic to the speaker in standalone...what am i missing? help me out guys...this should be easy :)

Hi mate, I've started using mine recently and had the opposite problem - I was wanting to send the microphone down one channel but not the other (for live streaming and recording).

To switch these settings you:

1. Hold down MENU (UTILITY)

2. Scroll to Microphone setting - it should give you the options for either MASTER OUTPUT or BOOTH OUTPUT or BOTH

This is from memory, so the wording may slightly differ but you'll get the idea when you find it in the menu. You change the setting by clicking into it with the black circular knob to the right of the screen, and circling it around til you get the setting you want.

Also make sure:

1. the Microphone slider is actually set to ON (top left of the unit)

2. Make sure the EQs are all set to 12:00 (the white lines are all pointing upwards away from you)
