[BUG?] DJM S7 Input switch turns off the USB HUB

Using the mixers audio input switches say from A to Line In turns off the USB HUB A data connection, this makes the HUB useless for anyone who needs to occasionally switch to Line/Phono.

Doing so will turn off my Phase or USB thumb drive, if this is a known issue any ETA on a fix?

A bit baffling... This cant be by design, or is it?

By design; it's to allow you to switch the USB hub connection over to the other DJ when switching from A to B; it just happens that the line input is in the middle, meaning it disconnects, otherwise it wouldn't know to stay connected (or disconnect) when switching from USB to line and back to that same USB.

Sorry!

Thanks for the fast reply.

Wow! Ok, so when using Phono or Line-in none of the DJ's have access to the HUB...

If I understood you correctly this is hardwired into the physical switch so there's no chance of this behavior ever being optional / fixed in a firmware update right? :(

I've found a workaround for my usecase, I'll leave it here as it may help others:

Since I only need to use Phono/Line-In for one of the mixer's channels I connected my Phase to the opposite USB HUB Port, so, if Phase is connected to USB-Hub-Port-2 and I switch Left Mixer Channel to Line-In/Phone it does not shutdown the USB-2 port, but if it's connected to USB-1 it does. So for this use case, the answer is to use the opposite USB Hub Port # to the Mixer Channel.

Correct - there will not be any changes to alter this behavior. Sorry! The recommendation would be to connect any devices directly to your computer or through another hub rather than to the DJM itself.
