Hey James,
The information on connecting to the RX2 is in the app itself, or on the rekordbox website here.
Hello. Please help.
I'm running iOS 14.4 on an iPhone XS and the Rekordbox app version 3.1.2.5 - When i plug my iphone via the UBS port (#1 or #2) into XDJ-RX2 no connection is established.
I have tried re-booting both app and XDJ-RX2, plus looked at countless online helps pages with no success at all.
When i have connected to the XDJ-RX2, i have also pressed the rekordbox button and still with no success. I have switched phone to airplane mode and turned wi-fi off, again with no success.
Im might be missing something as im new to digital deck, but please any direction would be appreciated.
Many thanks

James,
That video was from 2015 - unfortunately the connection method of using the Lightning cable directly to the RX2 is no longer an option thanks to changes Apple made in iOS and how we've had to adjust the app accordingly. As noted in my previous reply, the connection instructions are available in the app or on the rekordbox website. In the case of the RX2, the only option is wired over USB-B, meaning you connect the Apple USB Camera Kit to the iPhone, then a standard USB-A cable to the camera kit, and the other end (USB-B) to the RX2 PC connection on the back of the controller.
Cool now why don't you create a new video or a step by step instructions for people who wants to use this feature. Your app is failing to connect normally via cable. As it is right now on the 15th of Jan 2022 the latest rekordbox iOS app, the latest XDJ RX2 firmware, and the latest iOS operative system on my brand new iPhone 13 Pro Max is NOT connecting with a genuine camera adaptor and a genuine USB B cable. This is unacceptable for a company who is supposed to be leader in DJ Equipment. Get your shit together and provide real instructions, video and support for your products, or delete the feature from your catatalogue as this is misleading consumers
Again, that video was from 2015 and may feature Martin from Pioneer DJ UK, but it's not an official Pioneer DJ video. Apple changed permissions in how the app works, and that particular connection method is no longer outlined as available within the app.
As detailed on the linked FAQ page within the app / on the rekordbox site, the XDJ-RX2 only supports connection via the Apple USB adapter and USB connection to the B port on the back of the RX2.
I can assure you that this works as I just tested it myself - make sure you have disabled the WiFi on your phone as instructed, and press the rekordbox button on the RX2.
Hi, I'm having the same problem. I have an XDJ RX2 controller and I'm trying to connect to Android (Samsung Galaxy S20+) via USB cable. However, it doesn't work either through the top USB ports or the back port. What to do? Please check this out and come up with a detailed and working solution.
