Toraiz SP-16 new model

I should buy a SP-16 because I have tried many among akai, native instruments but they are all a bit too distracting. I was wondering if it's still worth it to buy today, since it's also out of production, so it won't be updated anymore? Also do you know if Pioner will release a new SP-16 soon?
