XDJ-RX Pitch fader MIDI resolution

XDJ-RX engineers would like to have more detailed information about the pitch fader resolution you kindly reported. 

Do you have the same level of resolution if you use the XDJ-RX as a standalone combo players?

Hi thanks for the response.

I find that even when used as stand alone players, the resolution is still not fantastic, but it is certainly better than when used in Midi mode, which for me will be 99% of the time.

What I mean by that is that on my old R1 unit, or even when I use CDJs for that matter, I could accurately set a BPM to say 100 with a .01 of a bpm dependant on what % I was set to. In fact the R1 was so good I left it set to 12% and it would be fine.

Now with the RX even setting the unit to 6% at 100bpm induces a .14 bpm change, not only that but you have to move the slider quite a way before you see any change in your DJ software.

I'm yet to try this in Rekordbox to confirm if the problem exists there, but its certain there in VDJ.

I have asked on the VDJ forums and they have confirmed its down to the low resolution of the pitch in Midi mode.

Is this something that can be addressed?

Seems a lot of people are complaining about the same issue across the range of DDJ/XDJ models that pitch midi resolution is low.

Press the SYNC button, it snaps to the exact value no matter how accurate.

Hi Pulse, I understand where you are coming from with your comment and of course that does work.

But that is not what I am reporting, as have other reported the same thing and is shown in the review video that I posted above.

What I am saying is the RX as with other flagship controllers in the pioneer range have a low resolution on the pitch fader. As these products are the high end of the pioneer range and most cost the best part over a £1000+ its not something we would expect to see.

As I've already stated my previous XDJ-R1 had a higher resolution on the pitch fader via midi control, so if its possible there and on CDJ units, why is it not possible on the RX?

Hi Keiko, thanks for the update.

I think overall this is the only thing that is holding back these controllers being as good as they can be and will look forward on hearing when this will be resolved.

I'm having the same issue as DJ Mel, but on the DDJ-RR. I noticed that the DDJ-RZ has had a recent firmware update to 1.08 -

"Ver.1.08 (14 March, 2017 Update)
[IMPROVED]
 Accuracy of the tempo slider."

Does this mean the update will be filtered down to the rest of the "R" range?

I am waiting for a fix about this to order the xdj-rx. 

Do we know if this will ever get addressed and has this been addressed on the newer RX2?
