After following all the instructions for downloading the latest filmware for the djm s9 for some reason the "not connected sign" keeps popping up.. Can someone please give me some help?

most of the time when I use the Echo-out FX with DVS it will trow it off beat, is that a firmware issue? I have the latest version installed. MB Pro 10.10.5. i5. 16gbRam
