Big problem with DJS 1000

I cannot get my DJS 1000 to read my usb stick. I am using .wav files from loopmasters. I have tried at least 3 brand new usb sticks from 3 different brands. I have formatted the usb sticks. 

1. I format the usb stick. 

2. I place the usb stick in the djs 1000 and then it creates a file titled PIONEER DJ SAMPLER. 

3. I then properly eject the usb stick and then place it back into my laptop. 

4. I then drag a few .wav files into the PIONEER DJ SAMPLER file. 

5. Next, I properly eject the usb stick and then place it back into the djs 1000. 

6. I click PROJECT and then OPEN where I find these headings: USB, USB RECENT and INTERNAL. Neither of the 2 USB options works. I click on them and nothing shows up. 

I am very frustrated. Can anyone help?
