Using cdj400s in rekordbox as midi

I'm having an issue with getting rekordbox to use my cdj400s as a midi it was my last hope as they do not pay wav I have started the 30 day trial with core as well and activated it on the said laptop. It detects them as an audio device but that's as far as I can get it to go. Any help would be much appreciated
