XDJ-RR crossfader not working

I've been using my XDJ-RR with Rekordbox putting sound through my macbook speakers without any issue up until yesterday.  For some reason, unless I use XDJ-RR as the audio source, regardless of wether i'm in external or internal mode, the crossfader, volume faders, and EQ knobs do not work.  I've attempted to read through numerous threads online about this, but nothing has seemed to help.  The play button does work, but seemingly nothing else will.  I'm not sure if this an issue with rekordbox, or my system.
