@ExistenZ > Do you have the "Quantize" button on the DJM-900 turned on as well?
What source are you playing the track on the CDJ from?
Did you happen to slightly turn the "Time" knob on the DJM-900 anytime during playback?
Ok, I been scratching my head wonder how this is happening given pioneers key marketing point of quantized effects.
Before i start i would like to say im using a DJM 900 (most update firmware), 2 CDJ 900's(both updated to latest) and a laptop with Rekordbox 1.5.2.
Quantize is activated on the mixer and an analysed track(checked to make sure the beat grid is bang on) is quantized on the decks. If i grab a 1/2 beat roll on the off beat and let it ride. It should stay locked to the beat, as this is the whole point of quantize. i shouldnt need to go and correct it. it should be in time from the start of the track to finish. If the mixer is picking up the beat grid from record box i see no reason why this should be drifting, software costing a fraction of the price can make tighter loops and rolls than this.I have tested this on numerous tracks which have all been analysed and checked for beat grid accuracy and the problem remains.
Can any of the mods corroborate my findings and let me know if you will raise this with the engineers. Thanks

"Quantize is activated on the mixer"
Source is recordbox pre analysed and grid checked mp3's - i do not touch the time knob.
I power on the mixer and cdj's make sure quantize is selected globally in reckordbox before linking. The mixer has the quantize activated before any mp3's are loaded to the decks. Upon loading the track if i hit play. Then start a roll it takes 25-30 seconds and starts drifting. I just feel that it should be locked to the track. I think it may be to do with the accuracy of the timing on the mixer. Its bang on accurate visually in reckord box i just think the effect is not accurate enough.
Ive had an idea to try and isolate the problem to the effect or the beat grid as i will try and set a 1/2 loop on the deck using slip mode and see if that drifts. If it does its a beatgrid/record box issue. If it doesnt its likely to be an effect accuracy issue.
Do you also have "Quantize" turned on within both your CDJ-900's settings?
Create 1 bar roll from 1 of the CDJ's, then use the WIDE tempo setting and change the pitch dramatically on the same CDJ (say 50%). Does the 1 bar roll on the DJM-900 follow that tempo? (please have the DJM-900 Level/Depth knob turned to past 12 O'clock, to ensure you only hear the roll effect)
Has there been a fix to this issue?
I'm still battling this and cant use many BEAT FX esp the TRANS and ROLL because this effect drifts really quickly (for me in like 8 seconds)...
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Beat fx roll drift still an issue in the DJM-A9: is there a fix to this? Or even a workaround?
