DJM-2000 Midi Receive?

Didn't see this question posted yet. If it was, sorry for the duplicate.

Suppose I wanted to control DJM-2000 beat fx via an external controller....For instance: use an ipad (set up with Lemur) to allow for a larger more intuitive/custom control of the EFX unit.

I understand that the DJM-2000 can send Midi messages. But can it receive it?

Can I press a midi button on a midi controller, and have the EFX unit on the DJM-2000 reflect that button push via a change in state.
