Please update the DJM-2000 driver/firmware so it has 4 inputs!

I'd really like to see the DJM-2000 getting the Traktor Scratch certification. The problem preventing it is that it only has 2 input-channels right now. This  could be just a firmware/driver-limitation (but I didn't go through the circuit diagramm though).

At least you can already choose between having either 8 outputs or 2 inputs/6 outputs in the driver config of the DJM 2000.

Could you please ask the hardware engineers if it would be possible at all or whether its a hardware-limitation?

Sorry, the hardware is not capable of being configured as such or it would have been done long ago.

Can someone explain this to me please?  I just traded my 900 for the 2000 (DJM) and the DJM2K is a 4 channel mixer.  I am not understanding this...

Also, how can I use the DJM 2000 with Traktor Scratch 2?  I don't mind if I don't use timecode as I have a controller too (I'll list my gear below for the reply)

Thanks in advance.

If you want to use the CDJs (to input timecode) you'll need to use an audio-interface other than the DJM's soundcard.   If you just want to set it up for audio-output using the DJM-2000, you can do that.

Thanks, I can live with that.

If you feel up to it, can you explain why not...I don't get it. The 900 was a 4 channel mixer too; why was that able too? sorry just curious that's all.

Thx again

The 900 came out after the 2000 and was improved based on user feedback and requests, thus the 8/8 nature of the 900 rather than 8/0 (or 6/2) of the 2000.

Sorry, I still don't get it...  :-(

So how is this related to hardware? (not understanding) I see 4 physical outputs just like the 900 so how is this not a SW fix? Or is it that Pioneer does not want the DJM 2000 to be linked to DVSs? (I ask that due to the way it was marketed).

Sorry but I really want to understand this...Thx

The OP is asking if the internal soundcard could be configured to allow for all 4 channels of input to send to the software, but that's not possible, even with a firmware or driver change.

@untitled > OP = Original Poster

Re: the ins/outs, it has nothing to do with the physical terminals; it's the soundcard inputs / outputs.
