S’abonner[SOLVED] I can't update the firmware of my DJM 900nexus to 1.26 (MAC OS)
I am following the instructions in the document that comes with the zip file for the firmware update (DJM900NXS_update_manual_e.pdf). In System Preferences --> Network --> Ethernet using DHCP the status is Connected but the little light next to Ethernet is yellow (see picture attached), it never turns green. and when I start the update tool nothing happens, it just says: "Waiting for DJM 900nexus connection" (see picture attached) and it sits there like that and then the mixer displays ERROR EE00.
Any ideas? what do I need to do to make sure the Ethernet light turns green on the Network windows like depicted on the pdf document?
Please help.

@ Justin, I tried 2 different internet cables :(
Try plugging it into the DJM-900 (turned on) and then restarting your computer.
dont forget to turn your wifi off before doing this - as your mac will remain connected to your airport / wifi network rather than making conneciton with the djm900...
i also open network prefs and move 'ethernet' up to the top.. so wired ntworks take priority over wifi....
sorry just looked at your pictures - your ethernet is at the top.. but your image shows that you are connected to your wifi network... turn it off and you will be good to go!
Thank you Justin and Matt. I will try that when I get home from work and I will let you know how it went. Regards.
Ok guys, I tried this again but this time I turned AirPort off, then I shutdown the MacBook pro, connected the mixer to the mac with a 3rd LAN cable (the one that came with the CDJs-900) and still did not work. The status says Connected for Ethernet (just like the picture I sent) but the light never turns green, stays yellow and the update never completes. Do you guys still it is time to call tech support for this?
Maybe turn your firewall off? I didn't need to do this but last time I updated my 900 I was running osx 10.5...
I've only ever done this once an was a while ago now... From memory I can't recall if the mixer was booted into service mode???
have a watch of this > http://youtu.be/0hkT-TSW8j0
I believe it's a problem with the MacBook, I had (have) the same problem and it's definitely a reoccurring one with many Mac users (just do a quick google search).
If you have a pc readily available just do the firmware update using the pc, that's what I did and it took less than 3 minutes. Easy.
@ Matt Jackson - I still need to try turning my firewire off, the mixer is at the club right now, I will try it later tonight.
@ HouseKeys - Thank you, I do have a PC but do you think I need to take the mac to the apple store to check it out? or is it just something not working between the mac and the DJM --900 nexus? I don't want to have any defective on my mac when I still have the warranty.
SUCCESS.
@ Matt Jackson - That did the trick. I turned off the firewall and the update completed. The light never turned green, it stayed yellow, but this time the update tool was able to send the update to the mixer with no issues.
Thank you all for helping me with this.
