Have you activated any of the channel select buttons on top of the mixer?

Help!!! Send/Return Not Working?
I'm probably doing something idiotically and obviously wrong, but I'm using the DJM 2000 and RMX 1000 and I'm not getting any sound from my RMX into the DJM. I hit the send return button, put all channels full volume, try samples and effects but I'm not getting any sound at all.
I tried both djm send to rmx input and vise versa and neither worked (though I believe it should be the DJM's 'Send' to the RMX's 'Input'?
What am I missing?

Apparently I was too drunk to operate the thing (trying to set it up the first time Friday night.... Great idea... I forgot to press the button that actually activates the effects (I had only selected send return but not turned it on on the mixer). Yup... Epic fail. Lol thank you though!
