Native 64bit drivers for djm mixers needed

Dear Pioneer Support

As traktor 2.8.0 has been released, it would be time for native 64bit drivers for the djm series. Since the traktor update i'm not able to choose my djm 900 srt as the audio device -.-, this is the same for ableton live 9 64 bit. Is there something in the pipeline?

Hi Joel,

Since they haven't released 64 bit drivers for your hardware .

Please follow the instructions located in the readme for the traktor update.

the read me ::

ATTENTION 64-BIT WINDOWS USERS: If you are using an audio

interface which only has 32-bit drivers, be sure you are also using the 32-

bit version of TRAKTOR PRO in order to access the low-latency ASIO

drivers for the audio interface, otherwise your audio interface won’t be

selectable in the TRAKTOR PRO Preferences. If you have a 64-bit

operating system, the Installer will have installed the 64-bit version of the

application by default and you will need to take a few extra steps to run the

32-bit version as follows:

1. Go to "C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Traktor

2”. In this folder you will find the current 64-bit version of TRAKTOR

PRO called “Traktor.exe”. Please rename this to “Traktor

64.exe” so that you have a backup of this version.

2. Please then open the “x86” subfolder. You will find another

“Traktor.exe” inside. This is the 32-bit version of TRAKTOR

PRO. Please move or copy this application up one sub-folder to the

"C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Traktor 2”

folder.

3. Now launch this newly copied “Traktor.exe”—this will now be

the 32-bit version of TRAKTOR PRO.

I'm told they're working on them but don't have an ETA.

It's been almost 2 years of asking for the same thing at this point, 2 more days until the release of Rekordbox dj. I figure if I don't see 64 bit with the release I'll end up trading in my DJM850 and trading up for a Xone 92 and an A10 from NI. Honestly, it's my opinion that this has gone on for long enough. It doesn't take a year and a half to code 64 bit drivers, I've been following this issue since Feb. 2014 (https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/communities/public/questions/203038109--OPEN-Ableton-Live-9-doesn-t-recognize-DJM-900NXS-Asio-Soundcard). You can tell me all you want that we don't need this support, but Traktor release notes about needing more resources and the network eng. diploma on my wall would beg to differ.

I feel your pain, $10k invested in Pio hardware and nothing but legacy support.

Hey Pulse, I'll no longer be active on the issue of 64 bit driver support for the DJM. Just talked to a friend that I do hardware repairs for and am in the process of trading in my DJM850 for a Xone:62, an A10 and an RMX-500. I originally bought my 850 to utilize the remix decks in Traktor as my Z2 only had rotary knobs with no hi/mid/low for channels C/D, with no 64 bit drivers it becomes a deal breaker as I cannot use it for the purpose that it was intended for. To be perfectly honest I'll keep my pair of 2KNXS and my daughters pair of CDJ350 (Pioneers players are top notch), but as far as a mixer is concerned I'll be going back to A&H. Thank you and all the best.

It's just a shame to trade it. It's a quality piece of hardware, to be honest, it was the lack of support for my old Zero 4 that I came to own a Pioneer mixer with soundcard included.

If nobody else is going to say it... thank you. TBH, I kept the 850 and ran with an external interface, 2Gb of RAM for application and thunking was killing me. Traktor chugged and dropped out with 4 decks. Tried the BETAs, stress tested for 2 and a half hours last night to use them for my Saturday night show... much better. Now I can use the 850 to it's potential.

p.s. Recordbox DJ, as a product that has been on the market for 9 months or so... isn't too shabby. Nice job so far, exporting history to an HTML instead of .txt with option to arrange columns for radio station logging and being able to forward search through a track as it's playing while holding CUE down would be some nice tweaks.

Again, thank you.

Hey Pulse, BSOD with Traktor have disappeared. No issues since I got my hands on the beta, thank you, thank you, thank you.

...on a side note, just a heads up. I know it's off topic, but I've encountered a routing issue in RB DJ using my 850. Can't seem to route Deck 1 to Channel 2 on the DJM850, I can send it to any other channel. I'm using the beta ASIO with the 64 bit RB DJ client.
