[CLOSED] HDJ 2000: bad quality plastic

Hi all,

I've been the first one putitng pictures on this forum with broken plastic parts on the arches. The first time I tried these headphones I was extremely pleased because of the overall quality and confort, the price was way high but I decided to throw away my V700 and my old HDJ1000.

The arches got broken 3 times, they had been serviced twice, and the third time they replaced the headphones with a new pair. After some months the well known plastic issue came up on the new pair....I'm currently spinning music with a ugly tape on the arch trying to keep the plastic piece together with the rest.

In the past years I had pretty similar issues with the HDJ1000 (arches broken twice), as well as no issues at all with my previous (very solid) sedj5000.

My question is: why spending almost 300 hudrend bucks to have such these problems?

I've been deejaying for almost 12 years...the HDJ2000 are the last Pio gear out of the overall equipment....all the rest went for the competitors, better value for money...

Fair enough, we'll have to agree to disagree then.

I've had a pair of Sennhieser HD25's since 1999 light , comfy and they have never broken plus you can upgrade all the parts at pretty low prices not everything has to be Pioneer .

I realzied that the so called "stopper A" part got broken. This is a common scenario, as everytime you close the HDJ there's a bit of friction on the rotary part. It's quite desolating to realize that this specific part is made by plastic, as it's being stressed a lot.
