As this is been reported from day one , and I never had any news about this being investigated... I will ask it again.
The Rmx1000 is already being used with a different application. Data cannot be transferred until the midi device is released
How to solve this problem ?? many users have reported this problem...
I have no other usb device connected , nor do I have an other program open.

WORDS FROM PULSE : The last update I have on the "...device is released" problem is that as of October 11th, the engineers have been able to reproduce the problem and are investigating a fix.

Guys this hasn't fixed the problem for me, I'm running firmware 2.0.1 and remixbox 2.0.0, everytime I open up the remixbox software it gives me the same message. In addition I have uploaded the windows hotfix for USB 2.0 issues and still the same problem?
Any ideas as its really infuriating, I'm also trying to use the RMX as a plug in hardware to Ableton and whilst the plug in software works (version 2.0.0), Ableton doesn't pick up on the RMX device so when knobs are turned and effects are applied, its not recognided by the DAW?
Confused of Newcastle - any help would be greatly appreciated.
Guys in addition to this it seems the remixbox software doesn't recogonise when a DAW has been closed, vene when the processes are definately fully closed down. Say for example you open Ableton and close it down, then open remixbox it will give this message. If I restart the PC again then open remixbox first then the box syncs up with remixbox.
In Ableton I cannot get it to sync at all as a plug and play device, I have been in MIDI preferences and changed both input and output MIDI port settings to on (Track, Sync & Remite) and it still won't sync and recognise as a plug and plya device???
Reviewing videos on the various forums I appear to have a different VST screen to others who have it synced with Ableton, I seem to be mssing the MIDI CH1 sign in between about and plug and play. The options I have at the top of the VST tool are:-
Link Off (top left - grey)
Load (mid right - blue)
Settings (top right - blue and plug/play is on)
Connect (greyed out - looks like a power cable)

Hi TheOn - are you finding the same as me, if you log off and log back in and open remixbox first it is able to sync, however if you load up Ableton or Logic for example, close down and then open remixbox you get the error message?

No... logging off does not help.
And I don't use ableton or logic...
Does the rmx show up as a removable usb device ?
Do you see this icon in the right corner ?

Im still getting this even though i have followed all the steps. I have the new versions of software/firmware and the same error message comes up each time i start up remix box ?
