800mk2 pitch

sometimes on the pitch i achieve great timing on both decks but other times the +10 and -10 can make a huge difference when i look at the digits and tracks run out after 30 secs or so.

I had 1210's for years and have been used to mixing without looking at the 0.5 percent on the counter which i sometimes rely on.

Is keeping the same method best do you think and carry on by ear ?

Thanks Lloyd

imo you should mix by Ear.

You can always have a look at the counter to roughly be at the same bpm but I always try to match and finetune it with my ears.

Well said guys, sometimes its spot on and sometimes you think ...what the hell ;) ! A friend of mine has a mixing program on his laptop which i had a go at but it just doesn't come anywhere near getting two tracks in time by yourself!  Love my cdj's

Hey guys,

I got a link to a clean up file that makes all of my music files clean and crispy before i put them onto cd.Ipicked this up right here but have lost my home pc which is being repaired and was seeking to get the link ..if anyone knows of the program as i've totaly forgot the name. Its the one where you click on a cog to repair any damaged files.

If anyone can post the link i'd be very grateful, thanks Lloyd

anyone help me out on some advice? Got my right deck (800mk2) with the cue button not working. It comes on for a few seconds when press play and then the light goes off and is useless. Is this common and how to go about fixing it.By the way it's 5 years old but should still be in working order.

I think the clean up program you are looking for is mp3val - a quick google search will bring it up for you.

Where are currently living? You'll need to return the unit for repair.

Thanks for reply Gavin. A funny thing happened just after I posted about the cue button. I took out the cd and tried it on my other 800mk2 and its doing the same thing,so its the disc/file and not the button.

Weird, dosen't happen on any other but have been playing this cd quite a bit and it happens on a few of the tracks.
