The platter rides on plastic rollers to let it spin freely. Might be some that are worn down. A repair shop ought to be able to fix that up.

S’abonnerCdj 1000 mk3 wobbly platter
Hello!
I recently bought myself a pair of mk3 beacause i got them for a bargain.
Now.. the problem wich is not critical but irritating to me is that the one players platter seems a bit wobbly and makes some noise when pressing down and spinning back. a bit like there is som rust to a door knob but not that hig sound. Also it does not feel tight and firm as the other one.
That being said, I do not have any problem with adusting the platter from loose to tight. Just when I press directly down on the platter.
Thanks

The place I bought them said as long as they are operating they wont fix them? Its wear and tear they said. which I find odd since if a part is worn out it might be that it wont be that long until the one platter is worse or broke.. :( Just bought them aswell.
That makes sense. It falls under the old adage "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". They're not broken, they're just worn down.
Everything works OK other than it's just noisy?
I also noticed now that the one "bad" payers platter is much tighter in on the loosest setting than the other. It does not spin that much anymore..
It feels bad just buying "new gear" and both players does not operate as they should. just the one then. Anyway..
Are they new, or just new to you, as in used? Brand spanking new players should be tight everywhere.
No as I said "new gear" referring to them as used that I recently have bought to me as new..
Thing is, that I bought them from a reseller who has agenture for pioneer in Norway..
Thanks for The replies. Heres The new status; Shipped it back to The reseller. The reseller could not figure it out and now it is getting repaired at Pioneer :) Cant wait to Get it back.
Glad you got this sorted Morten, thanks for the update.
