[SOLVED] Burn 96kHz 24bit Audio in right format?

Hello!

I record a lot of vinyl in 96khz 24bit and would like to play digital. Since the DVJ 1000 is the only player that supports this standard I bought one. Now I try for at least 2 hours to burn a working dvd with my MacBook Pro. I use Verbatim DVD-R and the app Toast 11 Titanium (best app for mac they say). Then I set burn app configuration to 96khz 24 bit PCM and it says 650mb. So far so good but when I put the burned dvd into my DVJ1000 it completely crashes! I cannot even eject cd/dvd anymore.. what is the right way to burn 96/24 bit files?

Thank you for your reply. I used the DVD Musicalbum from the Toast 11 software for mac. I think this should be right. Settings look like this (see attached files), I think it does not matter for understanding that it is all German ;) I used Verbatim DVD-R and DVD+R for testing. Dolby Digital is at least recognized as one track so it cannnot be a problem with the dvd hardware or something (work in my mac fine anyway).

It should be a DVD-A with 96/24. Toast automatically converts my flac to the dvd format. Maybe I have to create a video dvd with the track?

Thanks again. I hope to hear from you again, othewise I will resll the 2000€ DVJ-1000.

Dolby Digital Setting 440kbit/s First track is working, second not.

PCM 96kHz/24bit. DVJ-1000 crashes/freezes as soon as it reads the dvd. It does not even show track duration and I cannot eject the dvd then without switching the whole unit off and on again.

Audio CD: work fine, cueing is much faster compared to the CDJ1000. I like this ;)

(read above as well please)

This statement clarifies what I was trying to ask (but may have used the wrong terms):

Maybe I have to create a video dvd with the track?

The DVJs are NOT capable of playing DVD-Audio, you MUST have a video track, even if it's pure-black.

On mac I only have iDVD (standard mac dvd app) which of course does not support 96/24. I now burned DVD-Video with the trial version of "HD-Audio Solo Ultra v4.2" which was then 96/24. DVJ1000 played this, so far so good. The only problem is that I want a app for mac because this windows app costs $70.Too much for me to just burn audio on dvd. Any recommenation for free windows mac burning apps that support 96/24?

Sorry, I'm not entirely sure - I haven't authored a DVD in a couple of years and I was using Vegas Video on my PC for that.
