Anyone know a way to get RB to show the link button quicker. I notice that when I plug my mac into the linksys switch, it takes like 30 seconds before it fails over to the 169 address which then RB finally will show the link button. Anyway to speed this process up? Get it to fail quicker? I tried a static address which worked once until I rebooted everything, then I had to change it back to DHCP

I noticed that if I set a static on the ethernet connection on my macbook (it can stay a 169 static because I only use the port for RB), it connects in about 20 seconds instead of 30, so it's a little faster, made it 169.254.1.1 and 255.255.0.0 subnet, Will this be stable throughout a session to do or do the players rely on the macbook to be on DHCP?
@BriChi > You shouldn't have any problems with setting a static IP. As for the first part of your question, I'll have to investigate.
