How'd you get 2.0.1, what country are you in? Although if it ain't working it doesn't really matter.
I feel like maybe this wasn't supposed to be released quite yet? It has crashed on me several times and only writes about half of my tracks to the drive

I should've checked the Pio site first, I see it's now available for download
If you use Mixed In Key to analyze ur tracks DO NOT re-analyze the key in rekordbox, it'll overwrite the system u use (in my case the Camelot Wheel) loaded with new features but also crashed on me a couple of times already in the last 4 hours
instead use the "analyze missing data" instead of analyze Key
What is SOOOOOooo improved on this software to suddenly have 2.0.1 while we were on 1.6 ?
Lot more crashes ? :/
No guinea pig testing for me this time. I'm going to wait to see what those who do try it in the real world say
I won't be the guinea pig, and will wait till some bugs are discovered and hopefully fixed (in few months?). I'm still on 1.5.2 and so far it has only crashed once during a live set.
I wish on the release notes there would be instructions too, for example, set an "active loop", cool they added that feature but how do you set it? also, auto load hot cues, how does one set this stuff, I saw an option in the preferences but it did nothing, I know this is for the Nexus release which is not out yet but I wanted to be prepared for when they arrive
love it people talking about being a guinea pig xD
did you download the new 2.0 manual brichi? it's all in there....
autoload cues is in the preferences and also in the info pane of tracks so you can toggle on/off on a track per track basis.
for active loop, create a loop, hit 'memory' (not hot cue) and it asks you if you want to set it as an 'active loop'
you can also set all your MT on/off, pitch ranges, jog brightnesses etc in the export menu in the preferences. this is a great feature to allow you to instantly configure any cdj2000 nexus to your own settings. you can also choose which category is shown as a second column in the track browser!
^ I couldn't get the track column to work either? Were you able to get it working on the current 2000's?
yeah, just grabbed it, I will look it over
I hope they fixed the missing artist field when sorting by alphabet on the cdj
@dj daywalker - I haven't had it working, I guess it's nexus only for the time being...
I thought I try it out for myself on my everyday laptop after several crashes I've found it won't resize the columns, the text won't keeps reverting back to large, it won't allow me to import any new tracks as it crashes or analyse any tracks that are in my collection. I'm not even going to bother hooking it up to my 900s
I think there was a miscommunication and this release was made available by mistake, its obviously not even close to ready and there was no way they did any sort of alpha testing. If I was involved with rekordbox at pioneer I would be feeling pretty embarrassed about now. Wonder if its a hint of things to come for the cdj 2000 nexus. Releasing things that don't function properly seems to be Pioneers specialty.
Posted some tips & tricks on rekordbox 2.0.1 earlier today for those that need a visual explanation https://www.facebook.com/madjam
Who are the testers?????? How do they release software with an increasing amount of bugs
I guess the versions between 1.6.2 and 2.0 got binned but as the nexus is about to be sold they had to release 2.0.1. Glad I haven't got £3000 to waste but seeing as most of the decks higher functions rely on software that's unstable I'd probably just sue for compensation
no problems here with rekordbox 2.0.1 on OSX 10.6.8 - the new beat detection is much improved over 1.5
i don't think this was released early as the iOS rekordbox app was also updated today. too much of a coincidence to be a mistake maybe?
"WE" are the testers guys ... ^^
Agree with Phil- and I'm on all 3 OS systems all day (thankfully a Monday) WinXP & Win7 (laptop) MacBook Pro... stable on all 3 systems, analysis works well. Only WinXP crashed a few times, probably my fault cause running about 4 programs at the same time.
The export preferences are looking great and the Active Loop is going to be good for those emergency situations. Then again I trust the quantize enough to do a 32-beat loop (or more) if need be- Rekordbox on Android also updated today as well- few hours after 2.0.1 came out
Testing 1-2.. Anyone who can spare a CDJ2000nexus then??
So in the setting when you go to choose realign beat grid and says dont choose for versions 1.5 1.6 or 2.0? what does this mean also now when i load up my tracks all my grid alignments are wrong all are a few mili seconds before the actual beat wtf pioneer
It would be nice if one of the Pioneer guys made an official announcement post outlining the changes/improvements. Instead in the "stickies", we have Pulses 1.4.1 and Gavin's 1.6
@maDJam - LOL stable means only crashing a few times???
Stable on Mac & Win7, I had way too much running on WinXP when testing it out- did admit it was my fault ;) Anyone else still using XP or am I the only one that sticks to the philosophy of "if it aint broke don't try to (update) fix it" :)
When I open RB it now tells me my drive is corrupted but it's not plugged in then it keeps asking for the key
pmsl ... it just gets worse and worse .......
Crashing on Windows Vista Ultimate (fresh installed - 2 weeks). 1.9 GHZ Intel Dual core, 2 GB RAM. No crashing with the previous 3 versions, even though numerous people reported their software crashed many times.
So what's Pionner's take on this???
I'm going to do a complete uninstallation and try a fresh install to see what happens. If it doesn't work I may just give up sell up and move to something that can do the job I pay for.
