It has lights and shiny things and does stuff to music.
You can probably guess when an announcement will be made....
bpm?
LOL - Who said anything about a controller!!!! EFX 2000?? ummmmm
lol i have studied the image on my laptop in many angles and it looks like a symmetrical controller with a crossfader..
And a cross fader can't be used on an effects unit? Rumor Romor, we love it :)
ok fair point i have now studied in more detail and you could be right ...
bah now you got me at it..... lol .

No hints at all? A Rekordbox controller with screens to see/select the track? A general MIDI controller that can easily be used with any DVS (that makes the most sense)? A new, smaller, Traktor controller to compete with the Kontrol S2 (that is my guess)...
just a guess, maybe a ddj docking station for ipad? the design looks a bit "apple" and dont seem to fit in with the current mixers and cdj's so probably not an "efx2000" but you never know..
"A new, smaller, Traktor controller to compete with the Kontrol S2 (that is my guess)..."
That is my guess too...
At least give us the date we're all going to find out what it is!
Btw, a dedicated Rekordbox controller would be a GREAT idea!
Why is this even in the DDJ section?!
:P
Feel free to move it to the correct forum gav :)
You guys are making your own software aren't you...
@Pionix > I already did post it in the appropriate forum > http://forums.pioneerdj.com/entries/20403068-something-new
See? :P
Its a holiday weekend and everyone is running sales. I am a traktor user and was going to grab a T1 on sale this weekend. Now I dont know what to do.. WIsh they would give us a little bit more info... Is it a Traktor or Serato controller? Or something entirely different.... HHmmmm
Just saw the Youtube video! Awesome!!!
i seriously after seeing the you tube video hope its a midi controller for record box thats compatible with traktor and itch but has a analog mixer buitl in it and has booth out and 2 separate aux in to connect with cdjs man if so im buying 2 of them
It certainly_ looks_ pretty snazzy...
My guess:
NOT an EFX.
It won't be a RekordBox controller - RB is not DJ software, it's music management. All RekordBox enabled CDJs are controllers for that already.
The shape of the device does not lend itself to an FX unit. Where would you put it along with your DJM-2000, CDJ-2000's and CDJ-900?
It looks a lot like a few other products already on the market...
A Serato Scratch controller. Pio have one for Traktor and ITCH, but not Scratch. That's my guess.
If Pio were to create an EFX-2000, it'd have to be the most out there, insanity filled box o0f tricks around to compete with all the software effects you can get now and also their own range of FX-fuelled DJM products. It wouldn't be a table-top emulation of a pair of CD decks and margarine tube mixer.
And for the record, I f**king can't stand that you're unable to edit comments.
LOL what video? i looked but cant find one :(
someone throw me a bone :)
Study the video carefully! It looks like it can pair perfectly with Traktor's UI. It seems as though I've picked a poor time to purchase a T1.
Its not a poor time to purchase a T1 if you need 4 decks and like the bigger footprint. I am undecided on what to get now. I was going to grab a T1 this labor day weekend. Now I am going to hold until I know what software its designed for.
I don't think anyone ever NEEDS 4 decks. It's convenient, but I also wouldn't mind use of the sample decks.
More bedroom DJ controllers, woop. :-(
Just to clarify... I know that I can map C/D from the T1 to use the sample decks. This new controller just obviously looks as though its packaged perfectly for those who prefer 2 Track/2 sample, and I would consider myself leaning towards that demo.
I kind of like it..
I am going to buy either this or the T1. Wonder how long before its actually available?
