Pioneer DDJ T1

Hi there,

I am currently looking for a new mixer. I have been using an American Audio VMS4 for the past month and a half with Traktor Pro 2 and have been having problems with it that neither forum members or their tech support can help out with.

I do a weekly 2hr radio show and need a mixer that will work every time I switch it on. I am running an MSI CR720 Laptop with an Intel i5 processor and 4gb RAM and an 70GB SSD drive and all my tracks are stored on a 1TB external HDD and I also have an ESATA 320GB back up HDD. The laptop is running Windows 7 64bit and is only used for mixing with the occassional internet use.

My main question is will the DDJ T1 work with my latop from out of the box and will it work with Traktor Pro 2 or is it better to use the supplied version of Traktor?

Your laptop is more than ok to run DDJ-T1. after installing the drivers and connect your DDJ to your laptop, you're pretty much good to go. the supplied traktor is basically and "lite" version of traktor pro 2. Im using traktor pro 2 myself. DDJ-T1 is already listed in the controller setup in traktor. check out this website to tweak your laptop further to ensure flawless performance.

Cheers for the help mate much appreciated. I will have a look, still need to find the money to purchase one first but this seems to be the way to go.
