S’abonner[SOLVED] Problem with my DDJ-SX
I got my DDJ-SX the day it came out and was very pleased with it, it's an amazing piece of kit to say the least but I'm having one big problem with it nd was wondering if its the software or maybe its a common problem that could be easily fixed if I sent it back,
Basically it just cuts all sound for a second or so when I'm mixing or even just listening to music through it, It's all up to date with the latest serato software but I kinda hope that that's the problem. Can anyone shed any light on my problem as my friends has the same kind of problem

Hi! I own a DDJ-SX as well and have been using it for about a month. It was not easy to set it up, because the specs of the laptop I was using first were too tight to the system requirements. After going up and down, testing the system in various set ups I concluded that if you only meet the lowest limits of the system requirements it will be totally necessary to increase your latency both Serato and Windows. Otherwise it will not work. I see that Jo Vill has a processor of 2 Ghz, with that speed the system will not work entirely, it will only allow you to work with 4 decks at a high latency, only one effect at the FX6 in the channel 1 and the Serato Video simply will not run.
The problem is that Serato demands too many resources of the computer, I had even to modify Windows' set up to run it under economy mode to gain some more memory for Serato.
I had the same problem as the two previous guys mentioned. You may be using it for a while and then it freezes, because the RAM simply crashes and the processor jams.
As I said before, I can use the DDJ SX in the first lap I had but without some features. A friend of mine tested the same controller using a self-made Home PC with specs of 8GB RAM, Processor 3.3 Ghz speed, type i5 and guess what? Everything runs...!
The specs of the first laptop are 4GB RAM, 2.26 Ghz speed and Core 2 Duo P8400
The point is that Serato needs definitively to improve its software. For me, the DDJ SX controller is the best one existing in the market nowadays, but the software lefts a lot to be desired. Why? Serato needs to improve the point of using ALL the resources of the computer, the SYNC function is not totally accurate because it considers only one digit for the pitch, for example, Virtual DJ can adjust pitch to +2.25 but Serato can give you only for the same track a +2.2 which makes that you will miss the other 0.05 and you will have to pitch bend your mix while "on air" or forget the SYNC option and get the tempo the old fashion way, (for which I have to say I am very good at because I learned to mix in analogic turntables and perfectly know how it should sound like).
My recommendation is, I do not think you have a problem with the controller. It is just that you need a very strong computer that gives enough "food" to a voracius Serato DJ. Regards!
Hello, I got the same issue... I have been using the unit for 4 days now , and the sound cuts 1,2 seconds every hour.
I use a Mac Book Pro( 2011) I5, 2,3GHZ dual core, with 4 gigs of RAM. It's really a problem when you record and have this 1,2 seconds sound cuts or use to play live...
Hi Guys, I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT THE EQ KILLS! -26DB MEANS -26DB OR GOES IT TOTALLY TO FULL KILL??
AND IS A DDJ-TX COMING OR NOT?
-26dB means -26dB.
