It's a limitation of the hardware configuration due to the fact the mixer portion is more like the DJM-900SRT, and as a result, it's not possible to enable post-fader effects on the SZ.
I don't understand why the DDJ-SZ cannot use the Serato DJ effects Post Fade. The SX and SX2 are able to do this. I can use the post fade effects on the volume and cross faders. Is there something I am missing? How can a controller that cost twice as much miss this feature?

Come on guys, SERIOUS! Just purchased the SZ ($2000+) and no post fadar effects. Before I return this to Guitar Center, will this be fixed with a firmware patch or do you guys intend to rape Dj's with the release of the new DDJ SZII??? Just let me know before I dust off my Vestax 380. I'm really pisssssd!!!
@J-AHMAD > You can use the onboard hardware effects as post-fader, but the Serato effects are limited to pre-fader.
I have accepted the post up fader limitation but, how about the crossfader with the onboard efx? At a bare minimum we should be able to hear the tail of the onboard echo when we transition out on the crossfade. Can a firmware update fix this? Is there a plan for this to be addressed in a firmware update? This completely alienate your urban Dj market. Echo out between songs is a standard transition tool.
I am heated I spent $2000 based on your reputation and my loyalty over the years. I should have tested the unit before I bought it based 100% on my loyalty to the pioneer brand. This is a huge problem guys.
I just found this and it works! Now I'm wondering if it could be done using outboard gear and a little clever routing...
