Unfortunately you'll need to send the unit for servicing - you should contact Pioneer technical support to locate the authorized repair shop nearest you.
Ever since I updated the firmware on my DDJ-SR, It started causing problems on left deck.
Followings are the issues:
1) left sync button works fine at first, but after about 30mins of playing time, it browses through fx, file, browse tabs. It syncs, but does other things too
2) When I press cue button, it causes other things to happen, one of them reverting the right deck to the start point
3) when I press roll, It will cause the functional tabs on left deck to go weird.
4) once in a while, the sound will go off and back on
This all happened after I updated the firmware.
If there is any way to revert the firmware please let me know.
Thanks

First thing I would do is try re-flashing the firmware. If you could please try that first - if it still has the same problems, it may be a hardware problem but I would confer with the engineers first after you get back to me.
I used MIDI monitor to check the signal. It seemed to be working find and sending the right signal
To be sure, I have refreshed the firmware. And the problem came back to the unit. MIDI monitor showed the unit is sending the wrong signals.
This only happens in the left deck. Could you check with your engineers please?
Did this issue ever get resolved?
@Trevin > Please don't ask the same problem in a dozen threads across the board.
To anyone reading this -- if you are having a similar problem, please see the official answer above.
Pulse,
With all due respect I responded and added my experience to the numerous threads all across the board. Obviously this is a serious bug that's affecting many end users as witnessed by the dozens of threads. It would probably benefit everyone if Pioneer would post a bulletin that addressed the issue. This could limit the dozen of duplicate threads that pertain to this issue.
Is the only solution to the big is to send your unit into Pioneer?
Best regards,
Trevin
@Trevin > There's no bulletin for it as it's not happening to every unit and we certainly don't need all users sending their controllers for repair. For those who do, we ask them to contact technical support who will try and diagnose the problem before having it sent to be serviced.
Thanks for the insight. Has Pioneer pinpointed what's causing the issues and if there was a certain production batch involved? I'm certainly in no way trying to be difficult. I was alarmed when the bugs happened. They are severely impactful to my performance. Thanks again for your insight. I will locate my nearest support facility.
Best regards,
Trevin
