Rear USB faulty Construction

Hi! We have 8 CDJ-2000 for rent since December 2009 now. Except rekordbox is not working at all, 6 of these 8 players have new USB ports until now. We tried to send them to Pioneer, but they told us it would take about 10 Days (as I heard from friends its 2 Months in reality) to repair them. As the players are on Rent, we need them and cant give them to pioneer (shipped on our costs) for weeks... So: In 2Years I fixed 6 Players myself, some of them more than one time, and changed the USB ports on them. the Construction is faulty and Im 100% sure, that this will happen to the other two devices too. Im really unhappy with this bad quality, as These Decks cost more than 1,5 Thousand Euros. Im very impressed, that Pioneer still says that this is no common issue, as I know many other people with this problem, even more than i know without! Pioneer hardware is not even low quality since cdj-2000, they even do not accept that they have made a mistake! I`m verry unhappy with this situation. This is just a statement about hardware quality. I stopped complaining about softwarequality months ago... Customers are getting beta-testers more and more on every market, but testing Pioneer stuff in alpha status 2,5 Years after Release is not fair if they charge thousand of euros for that.

i have a very easy and cheap solution that i did on my decks . epoxy glue the usb port around the shell and board so the port will became one piece with the controller board. it worked for me . no more loose hanging usb ports!!www.djzolika.com

@Matthias >  No sorry, it isn't a common issue. In all likelihood, if anyone were to break their CDJs it would be Pulse or I. We test them vigorously  before launch and neither of us still don't have issues.

I would encourage you to ask if you can get some replacement units while yours are being repaired.

I connected and disconnected my USB cable so many times pornstars were jealous.

@Matthias > You can always contact Pioneer official to see what they can do for you in terms of shipping parts rather than repair at their facility so you're not out of the units while they're being fixed.  Contacts are at the right.

Ok. Here we go: The next one came back without working USB Port this morning. This is one of the Players that never were fixed before, so its 7 of 8 Players now. I will fix a cable directly now. For sure I could ask for a replacement unit, but when will I have it? As you know today is Friday and DJ gear is in use on fridays normaly, so what can i do now? There is no other chance for me to fix them on my own. Im just angry, that you sell that stuff, as Im sure that this is a common issue. Please see the rest of your own forums or ask other rentals and users. You say this is no common issue because you never had that problem, but there is a lot of people with this problem! If every 10th mercedes Benz starts to burn after 100 Miles, is this a common issue or not? No it isnt, because the cars of the seller and his workers didnt burn??? Why cant pioneer confess to having sold hardware in Beta state? Even recordbox is still unusable for people with great collections because it crashes whenever it wants to (somtimes after 2 hours, somtimes after 2 Days, but it crashes): You should agree, that hardware and software have issues that are not acceptible for people trying to work with or earn money with the most expensive CD-Player of the world. In fact: Poor quality and still in beta state!  @zoltan: If i use epoxy glue, i will not be able to fix the problem once more, if it happens again.

The rear usb just gave out on two players at one of the venues I'm resident at. Which means  75% of all cdj2000s I've play on have had the rear usb port broken.

It is a common problem for my stance, but the pioneer reps on this forum have to say otherwise until pioneer itself acknowledged the problem. It's a formality.

For sure the thread gets locked! Pioneer does not accept any critical ccustomers. If they lock the thread now they exactly behave like Bashar al Assad.

But this is no problem, Im allready connected with 23 renters only from germany who have this problem. All of them are trustable renters, most of them have the problem on more than one Unit. It will take some time, but Im sure we will make Pioneer confess to have sold B-state Hardware.

For Pioneer Germany, i can say they have the worst service Ive ever seen or heard of, and that for a faulty piece of Hardware that is sold for 2500$ (1900€) per piece in europe. Again: Im really unhappy and disappointed. Especially as you want to lock the thread now.
