I had this when i first got mine and thought it was faulty. It turned out it was a dodgy mains lead or socket i cant remember which but changed it over and its been fine ever since.
I've had an XDJ-R1 for about 6 months now and it's worked fine for the most part. However, recently when trying to power it on normally, the red standby light flashes green, then turns off and the controller will not turn on. If the standby button is held, the controller returns to the off state with a red light on.
I couldn't get the controller to turn on, so I had it sent to a repair center, and supposedly it worked fine when he tried it. He only experienced the same failure I was experiencing one time, but it was fixed for him by simply restarting the device. He then tried to replicate the error several times but was unable to cause the device to fail again.
I then received the controller back, and plugged it back in and it has not changed. It does not power on. I have tried multiple outlets, different power sources, different power cords, and no results. I've opened up the controller and no wires are damaged and no connections are missing.
What can I do to solve this problem? I cannot keep sending it to repairmen to tell me it's fine, as I live over 2 hours away from the nearest Pioneer service center. I need it every week to play gigs, and cannot afford the time or money to keep shipping it to repairmen. I need a solution to this ASAP, as purchasing this controller has turned into the biggest regret of my life.

Well I've opened the mixer up and my multimeter shows my leads are fine. I've got about 122 V running into the power board right now.
Hi Kyle, I should have mentioned I was talking about the iec power lead that plugs in to the unit and nothing inside. I have noticed you have said your unit is 6 months old. I would not have opened it up as that will void your warranty i would have thought. It was either the dodgy iec cable or the actual power outlet socket in the building I was trying it out in.
Please don't open your unit if it is under warranty -- contact technical support from the links at the right to have your unit serviced.
did this ever get fixed i have a 13 month old xdj r1 that worked one day and then no turn on the next day .... really gutted was my only money to buy this thing and now gone !!
