[CLOSED] pioneer xdj rx problems/questions

Dear pioneer,

I have a question about the usb of the xdj rx.

0: When i select a song which is not good it shows it can not play, but i also can not scroll or press back to the libary, now i need to press the back button to go to a previous song who works and from there i can go back to the libary, this is also with the cdj 2000 and cdj nexus.....Should be fixed that you can go back via the back button and not only the next track buttons.

1: Can you play a usb on the xdj rx, but the usb has songs who are not recordbox analyzed but just normal mp3 downloaded songs?

Becouse in the netherlands some people have trouble with that and even that the xdj rx must shut down and restart againg to let it work???

2: Is there a flightcase coming for the xdj rx from pioneer? looks nice when you have pioneer logo etc.....

3: What is the headroom of the xdj rx master output?

Other problems who need to be fixed( when updatet) i put this here which i read on internet, i see myself and i read on this forum to make it more clear:

1: loading songs on the deck who is curently playing, should atleast stay that you cant load this track on this deck etc.

2: Freezing of the unit by scrolling...

3: Speed update of selecting songs and putting in the decks

4: Freezing xdj rx by using a usb without recordbox analyzed songs.

5: If i look at the screen of the xdj rx, and i have 2 song playing all by recordbox etc. i see that the big wafevorms are not the same lenght. so most of the times when you look at your screen looks if the 2 songs are a bit off the beat of each other. Looks a litle bit strangs. maybe it should be like this but i dont know. have this with every song.

6: When i select a song which is not good it shows it can not play, but i also can not scroll or press back to the libary now i need to press the back button to go to a previous song who works and from there i can go back to the libary, this is also with the cdj 2000 and cdj nexus..... Should be fixed that you can go back via the back button and not only the next track buttons.

7: is there a update coming that the xdj rx can handle more songs of the usb? and that it will show the waveform also for song longer then 16 minutes, i dont have that problem but for people who do have i read this on this forum

8:

  • Sync ist not working. By that point I mean SYNC (including sync of beatgrid). All tracks I use are analyzed on rekordbox, however it just sync the speed of the track (BPM Sync). Just in like 1 of 10 cases it also syncs the beatgrid. BPM sync is working fine instead.
  • Weird bug of slip looping only on right deck. When I got a track playing on the right deck, enable slip mode and do a 1/8 loop with the performance pads (holding shift + the right button) it stops the track on releasing the performance pad. Then I need to press play twice to get it running again. The strange thing is: this occurs only on the first try of the loaded deck. Once I got it running again, slip loop world fine. No issues on left deck.

For now i thing this is it,

If you also have more problems or anything feel free to add on.

This is just a list who i just made, to make it more easy for pioneer to read.

Almost everything you can find on the forum, exepct my questions that are mine. and hopefully pioneer can fix some of this issues or maybe it is already fixed..

0) Holding the Back button should work for that situation, you should not need to load another song before you navigate your library.

1) Yes, you can play from an un-analysed USB source, however the performance is not guaranteed.

2) There is no information yet on a flightcase or soft bag from Pioneer.

3) The headroom is 19dB.

1) Users have already brought this issue to the attention of the engineers who will be adding a 'load lock' feature in a future firmware update.

2) This was addressed by a firmware update and for anyone still having that issue, we recommend formatting and re-exporting to their USB device.

3) It's already quite speedy.

4) See #1 in the top list.

5) The waveforms are always the same length, but they won't always be scrolling at the same speed -- they DO however pass the middle point at the same time in order to have your beats aligned when you are playing two different tempo tracks, one of which has been pitched to match the second. If you engage the sync, the waveform of the second track will be stretched to match. Unfortunately stretching when sync is not enabled is not a function of the RX.

6) You already mentioned that in 0 above.

7) Due to the limitations of the RX, no.

8) Sync is working just fine. As these are not your issues, I'm not going to address them here.

Sorry, but I'm going to close this thread as you aren't looking to have specifics answered -- anyone looking for support for their own specific issues should start a new topic where we will be happy to address the problems at hand. If it's not a problem on YOUR unit, please don't post to that thread.
