@peter > Are you using Traktor 1 or Traktor 2? The DJM-900 only works properly with Traktor 2.

It should be in the Traktor Manual on how to test and calibrate timecode within the Traktor software, and could you please check out Pulse's video and make sure everything is correct and the same:

I'm not sure what you mean by "syncronising the above set-up so that disruption is minimal"?

I am using traktor 2 and have configured it the way both the manual andpulse describe; howeever, the cdj's still dont appear to be calibrated correctly.

Can the above set-up be configured in such a way that it is glitch free? i.e when i hit play on the cdj, the mp3 in traktor wll start instantly without lagging or skipping?

Really scratchin my head with it at the moment!

I have the laptop linked directly into the DJM-900. I have also tried nearly every single ASIO setting and still no joy!

Any thoughts?

As for the question, yes it can be set up properly so it is glitch free. :)

Could you please double check your latency settings within Traktor and try playing with them a bit to see if it makes things more responsive?

As for calibration, there should be something in the manual where it tells you how to "Test" the calibration, could you please try that if you're still having troubles with it? 

Glitch fee would be amazing! ; )

I have tried nearly every setting to affect the latency but still nothing although it does get slightly more responsive. However, the more responsive it gets the more the sound quality drops.

I have tested the calibration too and still the scope meter shows a very strange image; see attached.

1. What model of computer are you running?
   
2. What version of Traktor 2 are you running?
   
3. What CDJ's are you using with the timecode?
   

Have you updated your DJM-900, Traktor 2, and your ASIO to the latest versions?

1) running it on a Packard Bell with Windows 7 which i have run a latency checker on and shows no

problems.

2) The newest versionof traktor scratch 2

3) CDJ Mk3

All three are running the newest firmware and driver.......

A week in and still no joy!!

Have you tried a regular store bought CD on the CDJ-1000's to make sure they sound alright on their own?

Is there any chance you could take a couple screen shots of your settings in Traktor and in the DJM-900 Utility please?

I just looked at your picture from Traktor, and I noticed you have 1 of the decks set to "vinyl"? Should they both be on CD?

And after you start playing the track, could you try hitting the "Calibrate" button again and see if it can clear it up while playing?

The indicators are simply "relative" (CD icon) and "absolute" (turntable icon).

Have you used the hardware setup wizard to walk through the configuration of Traktor?

Thanks for your help guys but I abandoned the Traktor Scratch adventure.....buying a pair of CDJ2000's instead!
