SZ with recordbox better than Serato?

Is recordbox better than Serato for use on older MacBook pros?  I have a mid-2010 that's upgraded to max ram/SSD ETC.

I have both on a MBP from mid 2011 and I don't have any problems.

@djjay - when your using the DDJ-SZ with rekordbox DJ does your controller for example play/pause, cue, jog wheel etc control the software? I am having some technical issues with mine as its only the mixer that seems to control the software and not the players. Not sure if its a simple fix as im just a Noob thanks :(
