I sold the sp1 but you can turn multiple effects on. One way is to activate them with the sp1 and then bring them all at once with the lever on the S9, or activate the lever first and handle activate single effects or chains on the SP1. It's pretty glitchy but after you get how it works you can do chains and everything just fine. The pads are a mess though, that's why I sold mine.
