DDJ RZ Questions

I made the switch from the DDJ SX2 and Serato to the DDJ RZ and Rekordbox.  so far so good but had some questions:

1. Is there anywhere that explains how to add your own samples into the Oscillator Sample section on the DDJ RZ controller?

2. When I set a hot cue point at the starting point of my auto loop, and then push the hot cue again, it takes me out of the loop.  Is there a way around this?  I used to be able to do this in other software.

3. When i'm using pad effects 1 or 2, and hold any of the 8 pads down and push the parameter keys, it changes the beat parameter, but when released, it goes back to what it was set at originally.  I think the manual says you can change the beat parameters of the pad effects this way, but it reverts back to the original setting once the pad is released.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to help me out.

@DJ LOUDOGG > Please see the answers to your questions below.

  1.  To access the OSC Sampler panel in rekordbox dj, first open the sampler panel then click this button:
  2. What you are referring to is called a Hot Loop.  In rekordbox all you need to do is create an auto loop then press any empty hot cue button and that loop will be saved to that button and it will start at the loop-in point every time that hot cue button is pressed.
  3. This is by design.  To set a change in the parameters, you must click the [EDIT] button in the PAD FX section and select the preferred parameters.

I'm new to the forum and I'm wondering if anyone had a chance to look at my questions...?  If I'm doing something wrong please tell me, or if the forum etiquette isn't there please tell me.  I dropped a pretty penny on the new RZ and Rekordbox and would think the support would be there too.  Thanks!

hi I've made exactly the same switch from SX2/Serato to RZ/RBDJ so will see how your observations affects me. I must admit, for the way that I use the software, I have managed to find work-arounds to get it to do what I want in the way I want.  Maybe we can self-support each other until Pioneer DJ respond officially.

Thank you very much Pioneer!  You guys rock, and that's why I made the switch to Rekordbox and the RZ.  Take care!
