DDJ-RZ unresponsive to Rekordbox

Hi,

I was looking through the community posts and found one similar to mine with the exact same problem: https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/204672683-ddj-rz-won-t-control-rekordbox-please-help

I followed all the instructions there however I'm not able to get my DDJ-RZ working with Rekordbox. It is completely unresponsive not letting me scroll through with the navigation knob on the top right of either decks.

I have the sound drivers installed and rebooted my computer multiple times following instructions from the link above still no results. I cannot see any audio signal outputting on the meters as well.

I've made sure i am in performance mode on rekordbox. Here are the screen captures of my audio and midi settings. I'm not sure if my midi settings are meant to be blank?

Any help would be appreciated!

UPDATE: I managed to get it to work by deleting the midi device from the MACs audio midi device setup in applications and i unplugged and plugged it back in and it recognised it as the DDJ-RZ instead of USB Device.

Followed the steps from here: http://faq.pioneerdj.com/product.php?c=649&lang=en&p=DDJ-RZ&t=faq

I am now trying to get it to work on my friends laptop and failing at it miserably. I'm trying to replicate whatever I did including resetting the computer after uninstalling the audio drivers but the computer still just recognises it as a USB MIDI Device instead of the DDJ-RZ.

Any input would be appreciated.

What's the operating system and did you install the correct driver?

It's the same OS as mine MAC 10.9.5

However since it failed to work, he ended up upgrading his OS to El Capitan and we're yet to test it out. And we did install the correct driver as it worked with my Macbook.

Will update you guys if it ended up working with his El Capitan. I think the problem lies somewhere in the MIDI Device Setup with the MAC not reading it as the DDJ but as a general USB Device but you guys probably know more than me. :/

The engineers certainly know more than I do, but we try to learn as much as we can along the way to provide better support! :)

The reason I asked about the driver version is if you accidentally grab the wrong drivers (eg. you're using El Cap and get the Yosemite drivers) it will install but not work.

There certainly are some other things which can be checked, but one of the things you can do is to open the Settings Utility from the Applications > Pioneer DJ > DDJ-RZ to see if it's showing properly there.

Oh, and there's also an uninstaller in the driver installation package; you may try running that, rebooting then reinstalling again.

It was showing properly there from what I remember. We're meeting again in a couple of hours and will update if it worked with the new OS or if we have any other issues!

Cheers for your response!

Ah yes. We ran the uninstaller a fair few times and re-booted but no avail with his laptop.
